| Personal vision for THG | The House came in to being 13 years ago when Jean and Adèle du Plessis decided that something should be done to care for the abused girl-children living on the streets of Hillbrow. Society ignored this problem. Jean and Adèle started their care-giving in a bachelor flat in Hillbrow. Later, Providence provided them with an old house in Souper road, Berea. To the destitute young girls in Hillbrow, this sanctuary became known as 'The House'. Sins then The House developed in to fife projects, each providing a different need in the care and education of abused traumatized girls. My vision is that The House Group will continue growing and become more expert in providing help to more and more young woman in the future. | |
| Personal statement about THG |
My personal objective as CEO is that I should be a reliable custodian of the assets and finances of the group. That I will assure that the girls and young woman in our care receive the best possible opportunities to develop into self-reliant members of society. That I may be able to teach them the most important aspect of true happiness: Love | |
