What do members do?
Members organise themselves, and direct the resources available according to the Constitution of The House Group, thereby maintaining an organisation of members called The House Group.
- Members own and manage the organisation.
- Members abide by, and enforce, the Constitution of the organisation.
- Members convene from time to time to elect, from within the membership, a Board of Directors and other managers to fulfil the executive duties on behalf of all members.
Members convene to evaluate the organisation and their management thereof. - Members are responsible to the public for managing the organisation properly and efficiently because it is public money that funds the organisation and it is the public's children who are cared for by the organisation.
- Members may elect to perform voluntary work in various different capacities to assist the organisation to fulfil its aims and objectives.
How to become a member.
- Download your copy of the Constitution (PDF document) and study it.
- Apply for membership by filling out the Membership Application Form.
- Pay the annual Membership Fee
- Get involved in any of the various areas of need.
You will receive regular monthly performance reports, monthly financial reports and a newsletter to inform your management decisions. - Attend meetings (even online), elect competent boards and standing committees, stand for election, and vote in elections. Contribute in any other way possible for you. Members outside of the Gauteng area may vote online or by mail and stay abreast of developments from updates on the web site and other reports.
